Carlos Suárez Álvarez has a Masters in Amazonian Studies from the Universidad Nacional Colombia and is the author of the multimedia book, Ayahuasca, Iquitos and Monster Vorax. He has lived in an indigenous community in the Colombian Amazon since 2008.
